Many devices still lack a real photo. Got one of them in your studio? Send us your picture. Each device has exactly one main photo, and whoever sends a fitting one first gets that spot at the top of the device page exclusively: with name and a link to your site. More great photos go into the device's gallery.

We're looking for photos that are something special

Not a catalog shot, but your gear as it lives: so that people instantly want to tweak it themselves.

Beautiful light: evening sun, desk lamp, LEDs, candles, stage lights
Dare to crop: close to knobs and display, the device may run off the edge
Decoration and surroundings tell the story: cables, plants, wood, headphones, notes
Landscape, at least 1600 pixels wide (1200 is the minimum)
No recognizable people, no watermarks or third-party logos in the picture

If that is not true, I indemnify gearald against third-party claims.No people are recognizable in the photo, and no third-party works (e.g. posters, screen content) appear beyond incidental use.I allow gearald (Benjamin Schwarze) to show the photo free of charge and without time limit on gearald.com and gearald's channels (e.g. newsletter, social media), including pages with shop links. It may be cropped, resized and adjusted in brightness and color, but not altered in content. gearald credits me with the name and link given. Let your photo travelYes, I additionally release my photo under CC BY 4.0. It can then show up on Wikipedia, in blogs, forums or at manufacturers, always with your name on it. More reach for you, more free pictures for the whole music community. Your photo on gearald then carries the CC mark. Good to know: a CC release is permanent, you can't take it back. Before sending, we remove camera data (EXIF, GPS) from your photo. Name and link appear with the photo, your email stays internal. Details in the privacy policy.

What happens next

We look at every submission. This can take a few days.

If we use your photo, we crop it to the site's format and let you know by email.

If we don't, we delete it right away. If the main photo is already taken, yours can go into the device's gallery.
